Tide In Tide Out Sketchbook - A Wave
Textures, patterns and movements observed during my mindfulness and meditation walks along the Margate shoreline and inland countryside; micro and macro tidal movements, cloud formations, sunsets, sunrises, wildlife, swaying crops, trees. All mirrored to highlight the beauty I see. In the exhibition they will be displayed on several monitors. Through meditation I’m learning to slow things down and be present. Slow-motion shots and the music will reflect this. Manipulated field recordings, poems, and spoken word pieces from my support network will feature too.
A Wave is Life (Work in Progress)
A wave is life.
Not only in it's mimicking motions, born within it's gentle rise, to throffy youthful peak, an inward reflective trough, the whispered break and repeat. My life is nothing like a wave, your inner voice it cries, we were dropped from stalk above from unrelenting skies, so water not compare to me, an ocean to the blue, Grey cloud and upside down, not even similar to you. So evaporate and gas away talk wet and condescend, droplets of condensation upon green bladed end. Water is not separate from drenched and to swell is not through rage relative, mechanical, electrical to page. See I'm trying to make you focus on the middle in-between, so as to watch a break and rise of self, to go with and not to lean.
